First 3-tier Panchayet Election was held in the year of 1973. At that time Digambarpur Gram Panchayet did not have any building and the office moved to a rented accommodation (the house was of Shri Bhupati Patra) at Gurudaspur Lakshmi Bazar. Mr. Sudhanya Kumar Halder was the Pradhan during this time.

Panchayet members had requested Mr. Gobardhan Mondal, the owner of the Market (Gurudaspur Lakshmi Bazar) to donate some land for building the office building. Mr. Mondal accepceted the request and gave some land. The panchayet building was constructed and the office permanently moved to this new building in 1983.
